Scrapers are designed to absorb a lot of friction while the machine is in operation. You can tell that a snowblower has a worn scraper because it will no longer be able to clear the sidewalk, leaving patches behind. Please note, paddles and scrapers are designed to wear at approximately the same rate, so it’s always a good idea to replace them both at the same time.
